Standard Gear List
For years I would put our a gear list with every camp flyer - not anymore - now we have the standard list and if anything special is needed, only then does it go on the flyer. This helps both our youth members and parents aquire the set of equipment that will be needed. Don't go out and buy everything on this list. Buy slowly and carefully, wait for the camping supplier sales - they all have some rippers from time to time. It is also worth asking in store if they have any superseded stock. I've bought a $300 sleeping back for $90 because it wasn't "this year's colour" and bought two $1000 hike tents for $100 each because they didn't have their pegs. I bought suitable light weight pegs in the same store for $40 a set. It never hurts to ask!
